Tim’s Rivershore has been a staple on the Potomac River for decades, and has hosted countless events every season. When the developer SunCal came in to build the Potomac Shores subdivision, promises were made to the PWC BoS and the community that Tim’s Rivershore would always have a home there.
Everything was fine until July of 2020 when the railroad tracks behind Tim’s Rivershore flooded during a storm – almost killing a number of people. Fire and rescue had to be called in order to pull people out of their cars before drowning:
Tim and others were interviewed a number of times, stating that the flood came from the land side, and not the river, as the camera panned to show all of the construction work going on nearby. Runoff and flooding issues are a tender subject for developers like SunCal, and as a result we believe they have decided to take this retaliatory action against Tim’s Rivershore by not renewing their lease – forcing Tim’s Rivershore to close!
Tim’s has been a tradition on the Potomac River for 28 years, and we don’t plan to let it go without a fight! Join us here for information on how YOU can help us win this fight and keep our beloved Tim’s Rivershore open!
